Here is my first video in black and white.
These images were shot during a travel in New York City.
I wanted to create a video on this city which made me feel of incredible feelings.
Upon my arrival I was impressed by the visual and sound variety of this city. Really, sound is everywhere.
So I wanted to create this video as an experiment between sound and image where they progress together. I had to try to make that none of them "eats" the other one.
I envisaged this work to create relations and transitions between images by the movement by playing on various sound, break, restart, etc.
"I love working on this way".
I didn't try to tell a real story, it's just about real... For me, this is a visual and sound creation made to share a personal experiment to the people who looks at it. I hope that the effect will work.
For the sound creation, I recorded sounds to NYC during moment when I didn't shot with my camera. As a result, I think this is good to have more choice in the sound edition. There were days where I looked for a sound in the city. It was really exciting…
Shot on 7D with Zeiss 50mm 1.4, zoom H4N, edited with Protools 9 and Final Cut Pro 7.
Merci."

I was working on a new way on editing. I edited the video with all the images in reverse. And at the end I have put all the pictures on the right side. I was happy to see lots of surprises…
This video was shot in 2 days. It's very simple... Just fragments.
The concept was to create a short video (60 seconds) with a second by shot.
During the edition I said to myself ; "it would be interesting to see differents version about this video".
That's why I suggest to you to give you all the images... So you could create your own version.
2 : Download all the shot here (You need a vimeo Account) : vimeo.com/49418976
Password : yourownvision
Number of shot : 60.
Duration of each shot : 1 second .
Use all the shot to create 60 seconds.
You can't reverse the shot (keep it on the right side) & you can't use the same shot twice.
3 : Create your own version of "my Minute" on your software (Final cut pro, Vegas, Premiere....)
This is an Independent short film made for Pix' n Love Editions.
I thought this movie as a visual and sound experiment guided by the rhythm which imposes the sound to the pictures.
Everything goes always faster quite as we change television channels.
The challenge was to create the rhythm with static shot.
We don't have to forget what we liked in past.
I hope you like it...
Sounds recorded with a zoom H4N, and fostex Fr2-le and 2 x shoeps.
Shot on 7D.
