International event on colour with exhibitions in Järna
From the 15th May to 2nd October 2011 Järna becomes the stage of the unique event SEE! COLOUR! Presenting four parallel exhibitions spread over the entire campus including numerous lectures, guided tours, workshops, movies, conferences and events. All of this will take place in and around Kulturhuset in Ytterjärna.
James Turrell, one of the world’s leading artists working with the theme of light, colour and space, will create a number of large installations. There will also be an exhibition on Goethe‘s Colour Theory with interactive colour experiments and a series of outdoor colour installations in the garden. Paintings from Hilma af Klint, the increasingly well renown Swedish artist, will be displayed and a selection of Rudolf Steiner’s original blackboard drawings, some of them for the first time ever. The architecture of Järna provides the perfect setting, as it is in itself a colour experience.
SEE! COLOUR! is organised by Kulturforum Järna Ltd. Partners of the various exhibitions and events are: James Turrell, Häusler contemporary, Stiftelsen Hilma af Klints Verk, Goetheanum i Schweiz, Rudolf Steiner Nachlassverwaltung, among others.
