Tripod and lighting stand giant Manfrotto announced this week a series of new LED professional lighting options. The lights come in five on board of sizes, as well as three 1x1s's which are all balanced at 5600K. The 1x1's will come in three flavors: spot, bicolor and flood. The LEDs are thin and have a sleek look to them. They seem very durable (see 3:55 in video) and all have dimmer switches
Jonah Kessel talks to Wayne Schulman from Manfrotto about a new series of fluid tripod heads. The new heads are the conclusion of Manfrotto's bridging technology series, which are aimed at creating stabilization for photographers moving to video. The new head will also be added to Manfrotto's popular video monopod, which includes a fluid foot.
Schulman gives Newshooter.com a new bit of advice for a modification possibility for monopod users looking for additional fluidity in the fluid foot.
Shot with the Panasonic HPX 500, this demo showcases the Manfrotto 561B monopod. A slick device allowing you to get stable shots and still pan! The Kessler Parallax® system provides automatic panning and fixed-point shooting capabilities to the Kessler line of sliders. Previously only capable with motorized panning devices, Kessler Parallax accomplishes inward and outward panning shots, providing users a second axis to their linear movements. The Kessler Parallax’s non-intrusive design allows users to choose between automatic panning or standard linear sliding without removing the Parallax bar.
Kessler Parallax™ does not require specific measurement calibration and does not have a fixed subject distance requirement to accomplish 2 axis panning and fixed-point linear sliding shots. Capable of manual or motorized control.
Will be available for traveler and standard length Pocket Dolly v2.0 BASIC, Pocket Dolly v2.0, Stealth & Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly as well as the traveler, 3' & 5' CineSlider.
Projected Availability: Late 2013
*Initial release will be for the 3' CineSlider version with other slider mounting options and sizes to follow.
