  3. In 2012, the Everglades Foundation partnered with Florida Atlantic University to create an Everglades curriculum to be taught in schools across Florida. An advisory committee comprised of teachers, administrators and scientists created these educational materials to be used in the curriculum.

    The material was presented to K-12 teachers in late September of 2013 for the first time at a workshop designed to prepare them to pilot the materials in their classrooms.
