Climate change is one of the most pressing human rights issue of our times. Our youngest generations understand that their futures are at stake.
Across the U.S., youth are taking legal action against all 50 states and the federal government for our leader's collective failure to protect the atmosphere for current and future generations. Their legal actions are based on our government's obligation to protect the resources we all share and depend upon for life -- our air and water. From the fires in the Rocky Mountains, to the droughts that ravaged the Midwest, to Hurricane Sandy, the effects of climate change are evident and urgent.
We are inspired daily in our work with these youth activists. We hope you will be equally inspired and share these stories of TRUST with your communities.

The mission of Our Children's Trust is to protect earth's atmosphere and natural systems for present
and future generations by amplifying the voice of the youngest generation through film and legal action.

By supporting youth plaintiffs in strategic atmospheric trust litigation, Our Children's Trust empowers youth to lead a game-changing effort to hold the ruling generation accountable and to compel governments in the United States and abroad to adopt and implement enforceable science-based Climate Recovery Plans.

Stories of TRUST: Calling for Climate Recovery are award-winning short films of amazing youth co-produced by Our Children's Trust and WITNESS.

Stories of TRUST: Calling for Climate Recovery is a 10-part groundbreaking documentary series of 9 young people who bravely share their stories of harm, activism and hope around the climate crisis. These youth have gone to court to hold their governments accountable for protecting the Public Trust resources that are essential for their well being and survival. What they want is simple: real Climate Recovery Plans, guided by our nation's best science, not dictated by politics and fossil fuel lobbyists. They come from California, Montana, Alaska, Arizona, Iowa, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Oregon and Massachusetts, but their stories cross state lines and tell a common American story.

These mini-documentaries examine the geographic, economic and societal impacts of climate change on our nation's youth and their communities. Stories of TRUST show a diversity of young voices. We are lucky to know and work with these young people. They have powerful stories to share and they are busy working for your future, and your children's future. Please hear them, share their stories, and then take action!

The 10th and final film in the series will tell the story of the American Public Trust Doctrine and the Scientific Prescription for Climate Recovery from the experts.

The TRUST Film Series: Co-produced by Our Children's Trust and WITNESS, with filming, directing and editing from graduate students in the MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking Program at Montana State University, including Christi Cooper-Kuhn, Deia Schlosberg, Katie Gilbertson and Sean Solowiej. We are especially grateful for the incredible directing and production work of Kelly Matheson, WITNESS's Program Manager for the Americas.
