1. For the launch of our Sons of Anarchy spin-off series, Mayans MC, we wanted to create a piece introducing the cultural tones of the new series while bringing back the intensity and the rawness of Sons of Anarchy.

This teaser was conceived, directed, designed, built, animated, edited, and composited entirely in-house by my amazing team at FX Design. Sound design and final mix provided by Echolab.

More write-up to come…hope you enjoy it!

  2. Origin is a story about creation and the cyclical nature of the act.

As a child of the 80’s I grew up watching a lot of classic Science fiction,
both high and low brow. Saturday morning cartoons and an affinity for a
certain animated Hasbro series featuring giant robots served as inspiration
for an endless amount of drawings and artwork.
My older self prefers less bombastic and more introspective narratives
and a frequent tapped source of inspiration is Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker.
This film is an attempt to reconcile the younger and older me in an exploration
of what it means to bring something into existence.

  3. We are proud to call Los Angeles home. We love almost everything about it, but there’s one sore spot we think everyone can agree is horrible – the traffic.

Countless hours are lost driving, no matter the time, distance or direction. Wherever you’re going, the dominating and unbearable congestion of the freeways will always win.

Sitting in traffic every day, slowly inching between lanes and red tail lights gives you plenty of time to think. Time to think of things like, “are we just driving in one giant cluster f*** of a city?”

This project is an homage to the city we love. Despite its congested shortcomings, Los Angeles is still a damn cool place to live. We wanted this project to reflect those characteristics: the grinding traffic, the helplessness of perpetual stop and go, while at the same time transforming it into something visually unique that highlights the beauty among that chaos.

  4. Find X, OPPO's latest flagship phone, which is by far my favorite, with almost a full screen, which keeps the camera inside to make it look as simple as possible. It's my honor to making the Commerical for this new phone, and hope it can reflect the extraordinary quality of the phone

Finding myself -- I've been stuck in a creative Rut in early of this year. So this time I forced myself to take a step, to try something I had never done before, to stop being cheerful music, and pop motion. but expressing an emotion, an atmosphere, in a more cinematic language. And try to inject this style into a business project. In the process of making mistakes and asking for help, thanks to Mark Chang for teaching me some of Marvelous designer's knowledge, asking Zaoeyo for a lot of experience with the scene, and with Renderbus's farm support, and ECHOIC's awesome music&sound design, and even helping me modify the script to make it sound more English, eventually making such an attempt possible. I also appreciate the trust my clients have given me in the creative process so that I can devote most of my energy to the creation. hope you like it!
