Greensville Trust in partnership with Muslim Hands presents
A Blessed Appeal for the Mahdarah of
Shaykh Muhammad bin Salik bin Fahfu
Known to the world as Shaykh Murabit Al-Hajj (may God preserve him)
Tuwamarat Village, Tagant Region - Mauritania
Phase One: Construction of a fully concrete lined Ground Water Well – having a depth of around 70 meters down into the mountain and a diameter of 1.5 meters. At a total construction cost of: £31,500.
Phase Two: The purchase and installation of Two Solar Panels – one for the existing borehole to replace the damaged and costly diesel generators there and the second one for the new ground water well to pump water from the wells to the surface. Each unit costs £5,500 and thus the total for this phase is £11,000 for both units.
Phase Three: Construction of student accommodation blocks – each block will measure 5 x 6 meters, thus providing 30m2 of floor space, which will be sufficient for up to eight students of knowledge. Each student block costs £5,500 to construct and there are approximately 250 students of knowledge currently at the Mahdarah.
Phase Four: Student support and maintenance grants – at a cost of approximately £240 per student for the whole year.
