In February 1986 a bad call by a New Zealand pilot caused the Russian cruise liner MS Mikhail Lermontov to sink in the Marlborough Sounds to a depth of 37m. All of the 743 passengers survived, but sadly one of the 348 crew lost his life.
In February 2011 enthusiastic wreck diver Dean found a Sherry glass on the wreck and borrowed it. This is the story of him returning the glass two years later for other divers to find and enjoy.
When you're diving with a Closed Circuit Rebreather you get much closer to the fish then with normal Open Circuit Scuba. In fact, the fish - in this case Blue Maomao - ignore you pretty much completely and you swim in silence in a ball of fish. Amazing.
