SPASM 4 Live gives you the possibility to create intuitive audio mixes by staging sounds in a virtual space. This video shows a getting started tutorial.
SPASM 4 Live (Spatial Audio Sound Mixer) is a tool for creating a spatial audio composition using Max for Live as the primary user interface. All calculations are hidden from the composer, so s/he can focus on the composition instead of on programming.
SPASM is designed to work with any tracking solutions and has been used with depth video (Kinect) and laser range finders (SICK LMS100).
This is a tutorial on a self developed Max for Live (M4L) tool called V-Module. V-Module works within Ableton Live and gives you Live-like access to video processing based on Jitter and OpenGL functionalities.
This screencast describes how to combine Max/MSP's poly~ object with Max for Live's live.observer object, to create a patch that can output the name of any clip that is triggered in an Ableton Live set.
This patch is demonstrated in the context of a Live DJ set, in which it displays the name of each tune that is dropped into the mix. (Ableton - can we have M4L support for the Serato Bridge software plz, hint hint!)
This is the first of a two-parter. In part two we'll build on this patch, using Max's Jitter functions to display the information in a useful way.
