From an iPhone sequencer app to Garage Band to Final Cut Pro, this is a song made from layering simple oscillating melodies at different rhythms, with matching dance loops from students from Parsons Design & Technology program. Each dancer danced to one piece of the song alone, never hearing the composed track. They were then overlaid to match the feel of the song, as each part of the melody comes in and out. Originally 2 different assignments from Zach Lieberman's AVSYS class (make a video about oscillation and make a song from an existing sequencer), this film has become something I had to finish because I thought it could be worthwhile.
This is the alpha version of an instrument that plays vector geometry. Ostensibly just a drawing tool with arcade controls when seen by itself, but is one of five instruments that output something that code uses. Together with the other 4 instruments you will have a code orchestra. Someday.
