I'm uploading this while I'm still designing it. Seems a bit risky, but let's see how it plays out. The original idea was to do a ghostly Elvis, or Elvis Ghoulsley. I'm currently working on the body in pose.
I was digging through my folders and checking out my unfinished projects and came across this one. Maybe uploading the progress video will get me motivated to come back to it. What I like about the process was blocking things out symmetrically to establish proportions, then working on them asymmetrically to bring that sense of life back into it.
So, this is a cartoon of me when I was a wee little lad. I'm working on turning my brother, my friend, my dog and me from our childhood years into cartoon characters, just for fun. Made in Zbrush, timelapsed roughly to 10x the actual speed. It's not finished work, but far enough along to start re-topologizing him and create a animatable asset with him.
The music is from the Hook soundtrack, composed by John Williams.
Time to start posting videos again! This is just a basic male head sculpting in Zbrush for practice. Timelapsed, sped up roughly 6x, although it cuts out any parts where I'm just sitting and thinking as well.
