In October 2011 the Royal Opera House celebrated the 40th anniversary of Placido Domingo's London debut with acts from three Verdi operas that have had special significance in the Spanish tenor's career. In the title roles of Otello, Rigoletto and Simon Boccanegra, Domingo - who also turned 70 this year - portrays three immensely complex characters, all facing dramatic actions.
The camera followed a Georgian opera singer Paata Burchuladze who performed Ludovico/Sparafucile/Fiesco roles in all three operas.
Victoria Drew, soprano, sings Salce, Salce from Verdi's Otello at Vermont Operafest. This recording was made on April 2nd at the Union High School Auditorium in Montpelier using three DSLRs and a separate digital audio recorder. It was synched up in Pluraleyes. Camera operators were myself and Ansley West.
