Bristol based photographer/filmaker Jim Johnstone had an idea to make a short film about a UK based frame builder - and here it is. We had great fun making in unseasonably cold March 2012, hope you enjoy watching it.

I used a VIO Pov HD to record my entire ride in the 2011 Etape Caledonia, just required a quick stop to change the batteries half way through. This may be a bit like looking at someone's Home Movies, but feel free to skip through it. A lap shown in the telemetry is equal to one mile, so Lap 42 is actually Mile 42.
Its a long video of 38 minutes long. It includes my 11 minute climb for the KOTM section up Schielhallion, which is not likely to be of much interest to you, but does give you an idea of the steep bits if you have never ridden it. I'm a slow climber due to my weight (its slowly getting lower), and my lowest ratio on the bike is 39x25, so I'm no KOTM and I have included the full KOTM climb which may bore you to tears at my slow progress.
The video includes the Start of the event, the KOTM section of the Schiehallion climb, and the Logierait turn at mile 77, and the finish. Various other sections of the course which may be of interest to anyone planning to do it. My "climb" is a bit slow, but the KOTM section includes the key "ramps". Although there is a lot more climbing before you reach the top, just not as steep as the KOTM section.
I know there is a lot of video here, and its a very big file, but hope this might be of some interest.
