Communicating your business through the copy on your website is important for obvious reasons - but what implications and benefits are there for SEO? Here I outline some of the main reasons for why great content is essential for SEO.
Content IS King - without great content, any other efforts to influence your position in Google will be of minimal effect.
Content which is readable, concise and keyword friendly will provide Google with a greater understanding of your website and the keywords you are targeting.
Great content leads users to become customers. There is little use attracting high volumes of traffic to your website if the content is of poor quality. Think about how your websites appears to your target audience once they have arrived at your website.
Keep your website updated with fresh content, and this will encourage both your audience and Google to check back more often.
Part of our SEO Service is to offer workshops to the client, to advise and inform on how to create search engine friendly content for their website.
It is important to strike a balance between your website copy being both search engine friendly and effective in communicating your business. You want search engines to be able to identify what your website and your copy is about without compromising on how it reads to your potential customers.

Keyword density is the percentage of your website (or a page of your website), which includes keyword phrases you are looking to be ranked high for in Google.
As a rough guide, it is advised to aim for a keyword density of at least 5-15% per page of your website.
Revise the copy on your website to look for opportunities to improve keyword density - but don't overdo it! Aim to strike a healthy balance between keyword density and readability.
You should never compromise the readability of your copy when aiming to improve keyword density in your website.
Web design used to be so much easier. We would design a website and people would view that design in pretty much the same way, i.e. on a desktop computer screen.
Nowadays, that’s all changed. More and more people are viewing websites on an iPad, mobile phone, laptop, or even a TV. These devices all have different screen sizes and shapes (portrait or landscape). This has forced us to completely change the way we think about design.
A standard, full size website does not perform well on a mobile device. They are hard to navigate and slow to load. This negatively affects sales conversion rates.
We have had to simplify our web design projects and make them fluid, so that they automatically adapt to these different devices. This approach is called responsive design.
