Song For Pluto is a short film about love and loss. The film, silent and set against the music of Arvo Part, is about a man’s moment of bliss in finding love and family and the personal anguish he faces regarding a mistake in judgement.
The actors and the director developed characters based on the actors' memories, friends and family relationships, past and present (we were inspired by Mike Leigh's approach to the way he develops projects). The director then wrote a script for all for actors based on the character that was developed. And so though the characters are fictional, they are also personal and, just slightly, autobiographical.
Each film is shot differently, using various approaches, colors and styles of shooting.
