The second trip of our BEAT OF THE WORLD project lead us to the ultimate place to be: Rio de Janeiro.
Not one single picture has been scripted. We just dipped into the Carioca's lifes, enjoyed the sights and met fantastic people. One of them being Bossa Nova legend Marcos Valle (the man with the colourful shirt). What an honour!
Again, it's the mix of our self-composed score and ambient sounds that make this film very unique. So watch and listen to
THE BEAT OF RIO.
Our thanks go to to the people of Rio - especially (in order of appearance):
Pedro. Kahuna. Marcos Valle. Luana. Rodrigo. Maria Clara.

Thomas Noesner, our DoP, was in New York for a Mercedes shoot. Right after the job, he took his camera and strolled through the bustling streets of „The City“. While screening the pictures of a drummer in the tube station, I had the idea of creating a „remix“ of the recorded drum sequence to use it as a soundtrack for the film. That´s when our sounddesigner Toussaint came into play... We simply composed a track around the drum beat of this guy. Some of the clips have also been used for the opening titles of Brad Pitt's "World War Z". So watch and listen to The Beat of New York!
