Empress Stah in Space is a one hour solo theatre show, commissioned for the SPILL Festival of Performance.
This performance is inspired by the Georges Bataille novel ‘The Story of the Eye’ and the ‘Three marks of Existence’ within Buddhism. An aerial hoop act is choreographed to music by ‘Othon & Tomasini’, with salt, blood, eggs and eyeballs featuring throughout.
The music in the video is 'Sex is a Contract, History is a Trick' by Uniform.
The performance is 12.30 mins long and includes the opening refrain of
'Superstar' from 'Jesus Christ Super Star'.
Filmed, incidentally, by Thomas Knights @ Torture Garden, London.
