Reimagining the library

Ben Kieffer (GRC, '14) redesigned Kennedy Library's signage system for his senior project. Take a super fast tour with Ben through the library as he shows off his work!

Ben drew inspiration from Pentagram’s system for New York City and for each floor used a color palette developed by Shepley Bulfinch as part of Kennedy Library's master planning process. Library services and zones are highlighted by bold, colorful banners throughout the building, so that users know where they are.

Ben also designed icons to simplify the directory, and make it easy to spot computer labs, checkout, study spaces, and much more.
