My take on recreating a vintage movie studio logo. It's basically the old Universal log with some more motion. I love the propellers spinning on the plane as it goes around the extruded earth.
This piece was created in C4D using a Spline animated with a Spline Warp within a Extrude NURB. Then that was dropped in an Atom Array and textured with a glowing blue texture. The rest was done in After Effects.
This project was originally based on Greyscale Gorilla's tutorial on Extruding Text Objects (greyscalegorilla.com/blog/2011/01/how-to-make-striped-3d-typography-in-cinema-4d/)
However, once I started playing around and experimenting, it turned into something else entirely.
The self assembling puzzle was done all in After Effects. The "Mask to Layers" script from Video Copilot was used. The picture on the puzzle is "Day and Night" by M.C. Escher.
I created this in Adobe fter Effects. It was just a quick experiment using s few filters in conjunction with the Audio Waveform effect.
