Young Brits are putting their health and pockets at risk by failing to get adequate holiday insurance or check they are properly covered. New figures show almost half (48%) of young Brits aged 15-24 don't take out any insurance at all. Today is the start of the FCO campaign to get young people to be better prepared for their travels.
Driving when you're tired is one of the biggest killers on our roads. Yet over half of drivers in the UK are ignoring advice to take breaks to avoid falling to sleep at the wheel. Brake and Direct Line are warning families gearing up for long holiday journeys that too little sleep and too few breaks affects your ability to drive safely. After five hours' sleep you only have a one in ten chance of staying fully awake on a lengthy journey.
