Earlier this month Blackmores, Australia’s leading natural health company, launched a major new brand campaign, “Today’s the day”. The thought-provoking campaign inspires people to make ‘today, their day’, by taking a proactive approach to their health and taking the first step to leading healthier and happier lives.
Blackmores is already highly “active” in the digital space. Its award-winning website (built in 2010 by Bullseye) boasts more than 300,000 subscribers. In another sign of Blackmores’ maturity in the online space, “Today’s the day” recognises the rapidly-changing digital landscape
“Today’s the day” incorporates traditional advertising methods with a dynamic online experience. An emotive TV commercial (conceptualised by Ogilvy) shows everyday people sharing their hopes, dreams and epiphany moments.
The TV and online media drive to the Blackmores website which houses the “Wellbeing Wheel” which was conceptualised, developed and built by Bullseye. The “Wellbeing Wheel” encourages people to set their “today’s the day” goal, view the goals of other community members, and receive personalised product, tool and community recommendations and free naturopathic support.
Blackmores “Wellbeing Wheel” goes one-step further in creating a dynamic personalised encounter with the brand. The website, built on the Sitecore CMS, presents the corner-stone of the campaign as it allows its users to indulge in a unique individual experience, relevant to their “health” and “goals”. For example, if a person’s goal is to run three times per week then the Wellbeing Wheel” will direct them to similar-minded communities and even products that may enhance their ability to achieve this goal.
