John Cage said “everything we do is music” Lots of elements from our ordinary everyday life contain music’s
poetic and enjoyable beauty. Rooms, staircases and hallways are parts of the architecture we come
across everyday. Sound is generated as they are used. However, we rarely pause to consider the effect.
Here I'm collaborating with a composer to create an orchestra from architecture, with the musical instruments as their different spaces by talking about the relationship between different sound generated from different architectural spaces with different features, floor finishes and contexts, in order to make audience feel that I have heard this symphony before.
