Created and organized specifically for the Smithsonian Museum of African Art for African American History Month in 2013 by Diallo Sumbry (The Adinkra Group) & Peter Krysko (Albus Cavus) "African Roots, Global Reach: In Living Color" is a live, interactive, multisensory, multidisciplinary performing and visual arts interpretation of the global reach of Africa's influence on the world through a colorful multi-staged kaleidoscope of lights, music, dance, movement, and art in a standing-room only, concert atmosphere.
The event took place Saturday, February 16, 2013 beginning at 6 pm at the S. Dillon Ripley Center International Gallery located at 1100 Jefferson Street SW.
