Michael Blackwell entered the United States Navy on Veteran's Day, 2002 and served for over nine years. While stationed with Fleet Combat Camera Group Pacific, he fought alongside United States Army 5th and 10th group Special Forces in Iraq. After completing his military service in 2012, he chose to attend the University of Texas at Tyler where he currently pursues a degree in Criminal Justice. He lives with his wife and daughter in Tyler, Texas.

Casey Conklin spent four years with the elite 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, as a platoon medic. Since leaving the Army, Casey has remained active in the Veteran Community as an Outreach Coordinator for the San Francisco Vet Center and club officer for the SFSU VETS@SFSU. He currently works in Public Health and Emergency Preparedness for the City of Berkley and is working toward obtaining a position that utilizes his military experience and education to respond to emergencies and provide disaster relief.
