1. This week I bring you the 4th and final part of a great catchers clinic by Courtney Scott.

SoftballJunk.com is a great resource for all of your softball bat needs.

Fastpitch softball coach Courtney Scott finishes up her fourth and final portion of her catching clinic. Several of the softball coaches express their concern with whether to teach their catchers to call the game. Courtney replies with the answer that it is never too early to teach a catcher to call a game. It teaches them to be more involved in the game as well as keeping the pitcher and catcher more connected during a game. She also explains the importance of the catcher to be strong in guiding the team. The catcher should have a prescence that other teams fear and lead her softball team. As a catcher the team will rely on you to be the backbone for the reason that the catcher is a part of every play on the field.

  2. This week I bring you part 3 of a great catchers clinic by Courtney Scott.

SoftballJunk.com is a great place to find the right softball bat for you!

Fastpitch softball Coach Courtney Scott starts off part 3 of her clinic with stressing the importance of blocking the plate and doing so safely. Also, she asserts that the catcher and pitcher relationship must be solid. Those two players must trust each other for the reason that they have to hold each other accountable for what they do on the softball field.

Courtney talks of situations in which she has had to be a part of situations where younger catchers are made to work together with veteran catchers and explains that not matter anyones age or rank, but everyone should welcome new advice and always work together to improve the dynamic of the softball team.

  3. Catcher Megan Willis teaches basic training for fastpitch softball catchers. She gives key tips for all the basic rules of catcher. You can purchase softball bats at SoftballJunk.com.

Willis shows softball girls easy ways to work all the factors of catching so that they can be successful behind the plate. She teaches the right way to receive a drop ball so that the pitch will be called a strike more times than not. She also teaches the right way to receive a ball so that the umpire will think that it is a strike and it will be more efficient than framing a ball because umpires are more likely to notice.

She also teaches the correct way to block a softball so that the ball will always stay in front and will not pass behind the catcher and the runner will not advance a base. She shows how when blocking the ball to stay rounded to the plate so the ball will not bounce off in another direction.

The last thing she teaches is how to block the plate so that the runner will not score and the runner will get out when she is trying to score home. These tips for catching will help form a good catcher and a way to win a good softball game.
