Team Formerly In Shape All Stars fought valiantly, and were led by forward Patrick Leslie, who added two crucial goals in the first half. Ronee Guzman scored with a minute and thirty seconds left in the second half to make things interesting, but the Formerly In Shape All-Stars simply ran out of time. Many times teams don't like to use the phrase "moral victory", but this truly was a stepping stone in the early progress of the Formerly In Shape All Stars. The chemistry amongst the team is becoming more and more apparent, as team members understand roles, and positions better. The Formerly In Shape All-Stars have a tough test coming up next week against A.A. Caldense. Defense will be the key, and the Formerly In Shape All-Stars have perhaps the best goal-keeper in the entire league!

A.A. Caldense was victorious in their match versus the scrappy Formerly In Shape All Stars, pulling away late, and winning the game by a final score of 5-2. With the win, A.A. A.A. Caldense was lead by the phenomenal skills of forward Ricardo Santos, who recorded his first SSL hat-trick, scoring four goals in the match. Santos, and the rest of A.A. Caldense have played outstanding through out the entire season, and are clearly the odds on favorite to win the SSL Summer 13 Tournament Cup.
The Formerly In Shape All Stars are in a development mode; as this is a team you'd love to see stick together, grow together, and come back stronger next season simply by following the maturation process of a team that gains experience and chemistry with time. Lead forward and Captain Patrick Leslie fought off a nasty calf injury, helping his team as much as he possibly could, playing goal keeper. Leslie's scoring ability was sorely missed.
The game was tied at 2-2, and in some what of a stand still, until the final 9 minutes of the second half, where Santos, Captain Otavio Silva, Rey Nay, and company went to work, scoring three goals in a 6 minute stretch. The rematch between these two teams in the first round of the Tournament (playoffs), which starts August 1, 2013 will be interesting. Both teams know one another well now, as the Cup awaits.
