We were told to produce a dream sequence, so we created a film based around someone's journey back to consciousness... Intentionally ambiguous to allow the audience to attach their own meanings upon it.
Lee (Kieron Trufitt) is an aspiring comedian, struggling to break past the pubs and clubs scene. When his girlfriend Georgie (Maria Collu) falls pregant he is even more determined to make it.
With the due date getting closer and closer, tensions at home hit an all time high as Georgie fears for the future of their baby if Lee can not provide a reliable income. Lee is soon faced with the realisation that he may have to give up on his dream.
Created for a second year university project. The brief was to create a script based on the idea of 'being trapped' and create a short film from the script. The deadline approached much faster than we anticipated and we ran out of time towards the end, so we didn't have as much time to apply the finishing touches as we would have liked, but overall we're proud of it!
In 2007 Daniel was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
After initially being told he could control the tumour with medication, Daniel sought to live his life as if nothing was wrong.
Now, six years later, when faced with the possibility that his tumour may have grown, Daniel is forced to consider the possible life changes that could soon fall upon him.
This documentary explores the effect that the tumour has on Daniel and the people around him as they await the results of a recent scan.
This documentary was one of the final pieces, along with the short film 'Grapefruit', for our second year of university. As it focuses on something so close to home, this was by far the hardest project I've worked on, but I'm very pleased with it.
Riah was put into care at the age of seven, along with her younger sister. This documentary follows her journey through past and present, as she relives her troubled past and meets up with her biological mother.
