Couture week in Paris and The Jewellery Editor got a sneak peek at the wonders waiting to be unveiled at this year's Biennale des Antiquaires as well as some from jewellery houses that won't be there. Step inside and see the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, Boucheron, Dior, Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arpels and De Beers.
Van Cleef & Arpel's 2011 SIHH collection featured the work of some talented dial makers and watchmakers alike. The dials were whimisical and colorful, while the "Poetic Complication" pieces featured amazing retrograde movements based on a Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber but modified by Jean-Marc Wiederrect, the same man behind the Harry Winston Opus 9 and the MB&F HM2.
In part two of our video coverage, we take you inside this year's incredible Masterpiece event in London and a look at Vogue Jewellery and Watch Editor Carol Woolton's fabulous Briliiant Exhibition - one of the highlights of Masterpiece 2012. In it you'll see specially commissioned pieces by Stephen Webster, Karl Lagerfeld, Cindy Chao and many more.
The Jewellery Editor dropped by Buckingham Palace to take a look at the Cullinan diamonds together for Queens jewellery show at Buckingham Palace. Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration runs from 30 June - 8 July & 31 July - 7 October.
