The evolution from one-way broadcasting to social media has changed the landscape for storytellers. It's now possible for individual activists to tell industrial-strength stories that can change the world.
Robert Tercek's TEDx speech focuses on four activists who are using media to create significant social impact.
Robert Tercek serves as Chairman of the Board for Creative Visions Foundation in Malibu, California. Mr Tercek is one of Los Angeles' most prolific creators of interactive entertainment. He has produced breakthrough experiences on every digital platform, including satellite TV networks, online and mobile games, interactive television shows, online education and mobile video. He has served in senior management at several major media companies, most recently as President of Digital Media for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network where he managed Oprah.com. Previously he served as President of PacketVideo Corporation, SVP Digital Media for Sony Pictures Entertainment and Creative Director for MTV: Music Television.

John Warwicker`s background is in graphic design – in his student days he was a recipient of the UK`s Royal Academy Drawing Prize for Natural History. His first commercial venture was with London studio Da Gama which took him into the field of design and video at record company A&M and production company Vivid, specializing in the music industry, where he has worked with artists such as Iggy Pop, the Rolling Stones, The Police and Janet Jackson. He has subsequently applied his vast design, music, video and visual artistic skills to helping commercial clients at agency Tomato and to teaching at MADA and a role as Visiting Professor of Design at Zokei University in Tokyo.
