  2. I grew up in a small town in Alaska. In the fall of 2001, I made a script to pull the images from two webcams on top of a city-owned building on the docks. I left it running almost every day for a year, then stitched them all together into this video.

    There are lots of glitches and gaps due to bad weather and server downtime.

Described as extended moment photography the technique is not considered time-lapse film where time is condensed... flowers blooming,fruit rotting, city waking up... that sort of thing. This recording plays at real time speed. The footage is processed to extend the moment captured to show trails of where the animal has been / will be.

  5. Shot near Cape May NJ ... The graceful arching of these birds belay their jobs. I think of them as the black sheep of the bird world. I had hunted for a good recording for days. By the time I got my tripod out of the car and set up the birds were miles away. After following them for about an hour... I got lucky. Here they pause to circle above a chicken pen.
