Located in the shadow of CitiField, the junkyard community of Willets Point, aka The Iron Triangle, stands its ground against eminent domain and planned redevelopment.
Though the area is being declared a blight, taxpaying business owners argue that the city has created the situation by refusing to provide sewers, street repair, and proper waste disposal over the years.
The main advocate for the workers of Willets Point is a native 76 year old resident who refuses to leave.
