Robert E. Jackson isn't a household name but he's had some high-profile photography exhibits -- at the National Gallery of Art and at New York City's Pace/MacGill Gallery.
But to clarify: What's on display isn't his photography, per se. It's not clear whose it is, actually, and that's a big reason why he likes it. Jackson is a collector of found snapshot photos. And he explains on the phone what he's looking for -- and why.
This is your invitation to eavesdrop!

Stephen Shore is truly the photographers' photographer. For over forty years, he has contributed his gift to the creative world through books, exhibitions and professorship. In this short documentary interview, Imagista's director Heidi Hartwig dispels the mystery of the man behind the mythology.
A short film about Jim Goldberg's book 'Raised by Wolves'. Seeing that the book has been out of print and hard to find, the studio decided to try and share this amazing work by making a movie about it/with it. Combining footage and audio from Jim's archive, along with new video made specifically for this project, we hope it tells Dave & Echo's story in a new and exciting way. Big thanks to all our interns who helped out.
