1. The "kiki" series (blind tasting)
The stars on their chest indicates how many challenges they've won in the past.
The English subtitles aren't too accurate but should help you get the gist of it.

  2. The premise of this show:
recently, Japanese TV has not been able to air many batsu-games (physical punishments) due to social awareness that these shows encourage bullying at school.
Therefore, the show added "subtitles" to explain (make excuse) on why the batsu-games are acceptable.
5 regular cast + Heipo (the executive director)
The English subtitles are not very accurate but okay for most of the part.

  3. Matsumoto and Hamada bets on which team wins the Japan Baseball National Championship.
Matsumoto's team lost- he has to take the penalty: A day of cream pie hell.
Matsumoto spends his day at his house- his "inner voice" (VO by narrator) tells him what to do
(ie. "ohh I want to get some exercise, I should do some sit ups", etc)

  4. Each guys brought 2 secret guests each to present at the Staring Contest.
These guests are celebrities, a person of the hour, a guy we've seen on a famous commercial, etc, who we least expect to be on a variety show.
The guys do not know who these guests are until they pop their head out.
The unexpected-ness, and the surreal manner makes it very funny for the guys sitting around the table.
The guys bet each round- if they laugh, they loose. If they maintain a straight face, they win the bet.

This segment is a big turning point to the Gaki show-
this became on of the key element to their most popular series- the "Not Allowed To Laugh" series.
