Christina and Nathan’s wedding was unlike any other wedding I have photographed. They wed on a mountain top in the Christina’s hometown. Everyone involved was either a close friend or family member- everyone chipped in. This created a level of intimacy not often seen. Their wedding was full of detail, yet so simple at the same time. Christina sewed her own bird cage vail, painted the butterflies onto the plates, and painted the wedding cake toppers to look like her and Nathan (which were placed on the cake made by her mother). Nathan had the wood planks cut by a local lumber mill and sanded them himself. The food was catered by a BBQ restaurant from where they had one of their first dates. Because of the effort and personal touches put in by the couple, you couldn’t help but feel special to be apart of their day.
We wanted to spend our wedding day doing the things we love most, but still wanted to include our friends and family. With the help of some very talented friends, we were able to capture the beauty of the commitment we made to each other. We couldn't imagine a more lovely way to begin our life adventure.
