The Legacy Project

"I'm not scared of anything because...
1. I'm a ninja
2. Ninjas aren't scared of anything
3. That's pretty much it."

In 2006, doctors gave Justin a 30% chance of being alive in 5 years. They said if he relapsed, he wouldn't survive, but Justin has proven them wrong. When he learned of his third relapse in October 2011, Justin responded, "I would do anything to make the cancer get out of my body. I will never be too tired to stop fighting—let's go do this thing." Justin recently relapsed for the fourth time and underwent MIBG treatment. His most recent scans show no detectable signs of cancer. Justin's family is in the process of determining his next course of treatment. Six years after diagnosis, and after four relapses, he continues to face each new challenge with a relentless determination.

Justin is a St. Baldrick's Foundation 2012 Ambassador Kid. This video aired on the Stand Up to Cancer Broadcast on September 7, 2012 to raise awareness for childhood cancers and announce the collaboration between the St. Baldrick's Foundation and Stand Up to Cancer in the formation of a Pediatric Cancer Dream Team. Today was a bit of a milestone. I collected the very first interview for TLP. I hope to have it up later tonight.

Heads up: the shoutbox will be retiring soon. It’s tired of working, and can’t wait to relax. You can still send a message to the channel owner, though!
