Walk through the eight days of the holy week. Day 1-Palm Sunday. Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey and fulfilling ancient prophecy. Day 2-Jesus clears the temple. Jesus, upset with the corrupt money changers, sits outside making a whip and thinks before reacting. Day 3- Mount of Olives. Judas makes a deal to betray Jesus while Jesus sweats blood and cries out to God. Day 4-Silent Wednesday. The Bible does not say what happened on Wednesday; however, scholars speculate that Jesus rested after two exhausting days in Jerusalem. Day 5-The last supper. Jesus instructs the disciples on how to remember him and his sacrifice through bread and wine, the new covenant. Day 6- the death, crucifixtion, and burial. Jesus endures torture and punishment; His final statement being to ask God to forgive his persecutors for they know not what they do. Day 7-Saturday in the Tomb. Jesus' body is anointed with perfumes and oils. Day 8-Resurrection Sunday. Jesus has risen and makes five appearances, the first one being to Mary Magdalene. The devil thought he had won on Friday, but Sunday's here and Jesus is alive!
