1. A master of color and geometric composition, Andy Gilmore's work is often characterized as kaleidoscopic and hypnotic, though it could just as well be described as visually acoustic, his often complex arrangements referencing the scales and melodies in music.

Since 2010, Gilmore has been collaborating with Ghostly International, creating several album covers for the artist Gold Panda, along with releasing his own visual compositions under Ghostly International Editions, Ghostly's art house division dedicated to releasing the work of a growing cadre of talented visual artists.

Andy Gilmore’s extensive list of clients includes Wired Magazine, The New York Times, Fast Company, Wallpaper*, Nike, and Warp Records. He currently lives and works in Rochester, New York.

  2. Motion sculptures for CCTV Documentary Channel is a digital metaphor of phenomenal blinks and moments that life consists of. In four Idents we follow a visual performance of organic and vital substance, animated using data of actors movements.

Idents visualize four different themes. To emphasize the emotion of each Ident, we have decided to use different textures of steel, wood and glass. Motion sculpture of steel reflects old Chinese adage that true power is mastering yourself. Youthful energy of dancers evolve into beautiful organic sculpture. Colorful happiness is the engine of father's and his daughter's joy. Two lovers visualize fragility and vitality of love in the last Ident.

Kaleidolapse is a visual technique that applies a kaleidoscopic effect to different shots taken with time-lapse technique.
This effect generates multiple moving images that are symmetrically multiplied which gives them an abstract look with a great richness of shapes and colors.
The music together with the movement rhythm of the images will set the character we want to give to the video.

Our city, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Since we saw the implementation of this time-lapse kaleidoscopic effect, we felt the need to play with this technique.
We wanted this Kaleidolapse to have a common link in all its images so we dove on our hard drives to look for the time-lapses we've been doing in the city of Barcelona during the last 4 years.
We selected those images that we thought that could work better with this technique and we chose the music: a great hit of the New York American Dollar “Signaling Through The Flames”. We were then ready to start playing with the kaleidoscopic effect.
There were endless possibilities so we got carried away by the inspiration of the moment and the music.
We set a single mandatory criterion: at some point in every shot anyone should be able to identify the site of Barcelona that was filmed.
For those of you that do not know yet Barcelona or in case you have not been able to discover by yourselves the location of some shots, here they are in order of appearance:

    Palau Sant Jordi
    Torre Agbar
    Parc de la Ciutadella
    Laberint d´Horta
    Torre MAPFRE y Hotel Arts
    Torre de telecomunicaciones de Montjuïch
    Arc del Triomf
    Parc Güell
    Sagrada Familia
    Parc de Joan Miró
    Estadi Olímpic
    Plaça Espanya
    Port de Barcelona
    Escultura Dona i Ocell
    Parc Güell
MNAC Museu Nacional d´art de Catalunya
    Plaça del Rei
    Avinguda Meridiana
    Palau Desvalls (laberint d´Horta)
    Font màgica
