1. Hold the wall like coming in for backstroke (opposite arm stays out straight by thigh)
2. Swing hips and place feet on the wall/ LOOK UP
3. Go through the Sink-Touch-Push position
4. Push off into a Breaststroke pullout
Practicing Backstroke to Breaststroke turns on the wall.
These are drills with Claire Donahue to help with reaction time on the start.
Do not let your kick drop when you start pulling. Always increase the speed and intensity of your kick on the finish.
2 things to think about:
*Get in and out of the wall as quickly as possible.
*The time between your hand touching the wall and your feet leaving the wall should be as brief as possible.
