First time playing around with Twixtor in After Effects. All clips filmed with 60d and 18-135 kit lens in the Finnish winter with -25 degrees Celsius weather :D A little bit of warping at times but its a learning process. Hope you enjoy!
Time Warp is a popular science television program produced for the Discovery Channel in the United States, in which Jeff Lieberman, an MIT scientist, teacher, and artist, along with high speed camera expert Matt Kearney, turn their high speed camera on everyday occurrences and singular talents.
The high speed cameras are used at as low as 500fps for capturing how dogs drink to as high as 20,000fps for capturing bullets, breaking glass, etc. At such high frame rates, 1 second of recorded video takes over 8 minutes to play back at a normal speed [24fps/30fps]. This TV show captures some common everyday events and views them again in super slow motion to uncover the many principles of Physics in our lives.
For example, they examine a drop of water, explosions (many of them), gunshots, ballet dancing, cornflour, shallow water diving, X games and sometimes some uncanny things like piercing ones cheek or standing on blades. It also includes a humorous narration.
