For over 10 years I’ve worked as an artist and educator in Chicago. Recently, I worked as a in-school Digital Media Teacher at a High School in North Lawndale. In 2002, I graduated with a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2013, I received my MAT (Master of Art in Teaching) from Columbia College. I believe that the arts are a place where we can imagine new realities. As an educator, I strive to provide academically and artistically challenging spaces that allow young people to feel supported and valued. I work to create spaces of joy, because I think that is were people feel safe to take creative risks. In addition to teaching, I write and play music.
