181 dogs go missing every day in the UK, but only 1 in 4 people know what to do if they find a stray dog.
Working with the Dogs Trust, we let loose our own stray dog in Islington to see if people knew how to help..
The campaign was launched in October 2017 by November 2017 the video had had 82K views on the Dog's Trust Facebook page.
Collaborative working between Age UK and the NHS: The gait and balance course
Video is an exciting way to capture the impact of innovative work. Age UK commissioned us to produce a film showing the difference their collaboration with the NHS is making to older people who have experienced a fall. The joined up approach is producing exciting results, helping older people get back on their feet and reducing falls.
To demonstrate the course we filmed with the Physiotherapy team at South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust who run regular gait and balance courses in collaboration with the local branch of Age UK. Age UK brings specialist knowledge, Nick from the charity helps every week with the class warm up and developing a social connection between the group. He signposts people to a wide a range of activities happening in their area so they can keep exercising. This provides a smooth transition into the community so that people are not left alone at the end of the hospital course.
To show the longer term impact of the work, we also feature a group, nick named the Golden Girls, who met on the hospital course and have continued to meet up and exercise regularly at the Age UK gym together.
We are experienced at working within NHS settings and capturing the impact of work quickly and efficiently so that services are not disrupted. We are experts at putting interviewees at ease so they can be natural on camera and tell us the difference the support of the project has made to them.
Our film for Dementia UK tells the story of a day in the life of Matthew Burns an Admiral Nurse from Wakefield and the families he supports
The film really captured the relationship between Matthew and the families he supports. Admiral Nurses work in a unique way with the whole family affected by dementia, and it is sometimes hard to express the range of skills and expertise of the nurses in copy or other media. The film has helped us explain the role of the nurse and is popular with our volunteer groups and with our fundraisers.
We launched the film on our homepage and on Facebook for World Alzheimer’s Day. It was a really successful Facebook video campaign that was shared so many times that the cost per view was £0.005. That day it had 27K views and helped start some valuable conversations online.
