We may have set the clocks ahead already, but winter is far from over here at Sugarloaf. We're still buried in snow, and, with temps in the single digits last night, we fired up the snowguns for a late-season round of snowmaking to beef up base depths for spring skiing.
Many years ago, during a particularly frigid month of January, Sugarloaf locals began to go a little stir-crazy. The cure, they decided, would be a weeklong party. It would involve costumes, challenges, and multiple venues. And when it was over, the couple that partied the hardest all week long would be crowned King and Queen of Sugarloaf. They called it White White World Week, and it was glorious.
