1. Shot by my grandfather on his Bell & Howell Filmo using 16mm Kodachrome film stock. This footage was taken a year after the California theme park opened.

It was quite a surprise going through this and seeing my grandmother meeting Walt Disney himself! I've been doing my best to find out what they were shooting at the front of the park. So far I've been unsuccessful.

Transferred to HD (1080PsF 23.98) myself off a Spirit and Color Corrected using a da Vinci 2k Plus. Slowed to 18fps to match the original film speed.

  2. This example clip shows you how useful Avisynth can be to restore old 8mm films.

Please use the full download to see the clip as it should be, and I suggest to use ffdshow to see this Mpeg4 clip with decent gamma settings, like it should be.

This regular-8mm film was made in 1958 on Kodachrome. The author has used an anamorphic lens.

It was a quick and dirty (dry) transfer, the film needs more cleaning and a new wetgate transfer.

This clip is a compilation from 5 clips, so you will see the frame counter jumping....

    Enjoy!

    Fred.

  3. Here's something you don't see everyday.
This bride looks like she was dying for a cigarette, right after she came out of the church she asked for a drag...

oh the 60's... you gotta love them!!

This film was scanned on a Spirit 2k, color corrected on Resolve 10 and cut on FCP x
