I was in Lake Louise and Jasper, Alberta last week on vacation. Near Jasper, on the Athabasca River, a couple of miles apart, we first saw females wandering and then later this buck who was sniffing and searching and calling, presumably hankering after one of those females as it is rutting season. In June, we had wet, stormy and cool in June and now we've got hot and humid and now some relief after major storms have hit, it's cooled down to a comfortable temperature.
