Framed around the amazing artwork of Keith "Scramble" Campbell and the emerging live painter's movement, our film explores larger themes of creative spirit and improvisation, audience participation, live performance and most importantly: not just witnessing art happening but making art for yourself!
In celebration of Leftover's 20th Anniversary, we're releasing a few choice video clips to the fans from the filmcartel's archive.
This is an outtake from "Years In Your Ears... a story of Leftover Salmon". Available on DVD in stores and online.
Originally shot on 16mm with barely enough light at The Fox Theater in Boulder, CO on July 15th, 1995.
What's interesting to note during this shoot was that my normally reliable Eclair NPR 16mm camera had never lost sync in the five years I owned it. Col.Bruce gave me his blessing before the show but specifically warned me that he couldn't speak for the technology. During this song, the camera lost sync twice. I shot with that same camera another three years and never had a problem again. Zambie! filmcartel.org
