In 2011 the Norwegian electronica project Pjusk (signed to the US label 12k) teamed up with the German digital artist Till Nowak to create an artistic music video. As a base for Nowaks digital visual extensions they were given the chance to use aerial footage by Fuglefjellet, a Norwegian design and production company.

When The Ford Foundation held a 75th anniversary event to explore how fairness, opportunity and equity can serve as defining features in the creation of "The Just City", we were asked to create an an animated visual to serve as opening to the lecture series.
Part graphic, part watercolor, part collage, with a layering of architectural line work. A painterly abstraction that gives way and expands.
A visual story that evolves linearly with the multiplicity of the script but also contracts into utmost simplicity in order to clearly drive the message of The Just City.
Music so graciously provided by Arp & Anthony Moore and RVNG Intl.
Phototropia is part of an ongoing series on the application of smart materials in an architectural context and was realized in April 2012 by the Master of Advanced Studies class at the Chair for CAAD. The project combines self-made electro-active polymers, screen-printed electroluminescent displays, eco-friendly bioplastics and thin-film dye-sensitized solar cells into an autonomous installation that produces its required energy from sunlight and - when charged - responds to user presence through moving and illuminating elements.
