On the road again! This time with Chris Bugsy Malone & Daniel Kereopa chasing kegs on the East Coast. Check out the classic New Zealand Roady, getting up too early, loading extra boards and frothing on what lay ahead, takeaway food, text forecasts, & more froth! The East coast delivers some great waves for the boys to enjoy, you can check out the photographic evidence come November 8 2013 when NZwaterman.com magazine launches!
What started off as a trip to Taranaki to pick up a new SUP surfboard became an action packed wild west coast ride with Daniel "DK" Kereopa, New Zealand's premiere waterman. We hooked up with legendary shaper David "Biggie" Smithers to talk about the lightest and strongest wave SUP construction, then backing up his talk with some serious wave riding! We were lucky enough to be guided by the Taranaki crew, DK whom has been chalking up some time kitesurfing without straps on his surfboard was out there! which is not easy in big surf and rough windy conditions. Like true watermen, the car was packed for all wave scenarios, wind or no wind. Stay tuned for more NZwaterman, and join us on November 8 2013 for the premiere issue of NZwaterman.com magazine!
