This is a collection of projects I have been involved in during my studies at Digital Graphics (Nackademin, Stockholm - Sweden) and a short summer internship at Milford Film & Animation.
Digital Graphics is a two years long 3D-generalist program focusing on Maya. During the end of my first year I discovered Houdini and my passion for the software has grown ever since. This has driven me to learn Houdini on my own with the goal of becoming a FX-artist.

01. [ Personal project, "The Breach" (3weeks) ]:
My goal with this project was to get through the whole pipeline for a water simulation shot using Houdini and flip-fluids. This is a WIP currently laid asside

Role:
All graphical elements

Softwares used:
Houdini/Mantra - Simulation, shading and rendering
Maya - Modeling and animation
Nuke - Composition

02. [ TVC for WWF, "We don't farm like this" (6weeks) ]:
This was my first production shot at Milford Film & Animation

Role:
Simulation of all dynamics in the "destruction" shot(destruction, smoke & dust)
Tractor smoke simulation on all shots
Leafs simulation in the "falling branches" shot

Softwares used:
Houdini/Mantra - Bullet simulation for the destruction, PyroFX for smoke and dust, CHOPs and point operation for the leafs

03. [ School project with a group of 5, "Kaiserslacht" (4 weeks) ]:
This was the first project where I used Houdini as a FX-tool

Role:
Tank explosion (cloth, rbd, pyroFX simulation and explosion shader)
Simulation, shading and rendering of tank exhaustion smoke and tank shot
Roto & Keying of the general in the foreground(left)
Animation of the tanks

Softwares used:
Houdini/Mantra - PyroFX
Nuke - Roto & Keying

04. [ School project with a group of 3, "Meccowboy" (4 weeks) ]:
This school project is now being broadcasted in New Zeeland TV by Meccano

Role:
Modeling of car & airplane. Rigging all vehicles. Animation of the whole sequence (20 seconds).
Composition of the first transformation shot

Maya & After Effects

05. [ School project with a goup of 4, "A trashy friendship" (6weeks) ]:
The total length of the project output was 3 minutes with 2 minutes of CG in life material plus this full CG-shot

Role:
Lightning, rendering and composition of the trashcan scene. I had four days to light and render this shot. It was also the first time I rendered a project scene
Modeling, rigging, texturing and shading of the cockroach

Maya(Vray) & Nuke
