Brighton Film School arranged for the students to visit the BSC show on Friday 22nd of March at Pinewood Studios on the Richard Attenborough stage. The event was a showcase of the latest camera, lighting and grip equipment with representatives from Arri, Panavision, Panalux, Movie Tech, AirStar and other key facility houses. The students spent the afternoon meeting key industry people, attending a presentation on the latest developments and collecting free bags, tee shirts and brochures.
A return visit from the legendary Cinematographer (Quadrophenia, Trainspotting, Kidulthood, Adulthood) who answered questions on how A Life Less Ordinary (Danny Boyle) was shot on location in Houston, Texas. A scene from the film was used as a guide to plan and re-shoot a scene on the set using the Cameflex 35mm film camera.
