My 4th graders are working on their Picasso Portraits. We watched the "Be More Dog" YouTube video and decided that Picasso thought outside of the box when he invented Cubism. Maybe he was "more dog" too. Today, we wanted to grab life by the frisbee too.
The bemoredog.com website offered an interactive game where we could connect our art room ipad to interact with the dog-like cat. We took turns throwing the frisbee to our friend in his living room. We discussed how art and technology go hand in hand these days. It was fun and educational to "play" with this technology. It made us #BeMoreDog
Join Nate at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to discover abstract paintings by renowned artist Jackson Pollock. Visit Pollock's house, and take a peek into his studio, which still houses his original materials. We will use what we know about paint viscosity to help a group of kids create enormous abstract paintings of their own while racing down a zipline!

The song, "What Does the Fox Say" seems to be stuck in many of my students' minds. I hear them singing the words/sounds while they work sometimes. Today, I played the song for them during class and this is what happened.
